Melón Jimenez & Lara Wong 2025 Canada Summer Tour in Montreal

Guitarist Melón Jiménez and flautist Lara Wong present their project “Confluencias” in a summer Tour around Canada, blending flamenco-inspired  melodies with electronic soundscapes and mystical bansuri tunes.

After two years of composing, performing, and touring together, the duo of guitarist Melón Jiménez and flautist Lara Wong, who also plays the bansuri (an Indian flute), presents their new project, Confluencias, at the NAC.

This project blends rhythms and melodies inspired by flamenco. In a dialogue between cultures, Confluencias takes audiences on a musical journey filled with flamenco guitar riffs, electronic soundscapes, mystical bansuri melodies, and flute improvisations.

He incorporates various techniques and sounds that he has explored throughout his career.

His versatility has allowed him to collaborate with artists like Anoushka Shankar, Richard Bona, Jorge Pardo, and Niña Pastori at prestigious festivals around the world.

Lara Wong

Lara Wong is a Canadian flautist. In 2021, she received the Filón Minero at the prestigious Festival de Cante de las Minas, becoming the first woman of foreign origin to win this award.
