Israel Galván is a genius of gesture, a maverick, known for spellbinding 21st-century flamenco.

Famous for his power, precision and brilliantly complicated, fast footwork, Galván stuns, astonishes and leaves you overwhelmed.

With deep knowledge of classical flamenco, he invents a new pared-back aesthetic, a new alphabet of the human body. Bessie Award-winning La Edad de Oro strips flamenco to its bare essence, sculpting a form steeped in tradition, yet intoxicated by the moment.
